Anniversary, Promotion and Outback

Yes all this in the same day, August 28, 2007. You can imagine how exciting it was . First it was mom and dads anniversary. Mom forgot about it and dad remembered. That is not how things usually happen around here. Can you believe it.....Mom forgot. Well, I am sure she well pay for it for a long time.
Next, Dad got his promotion from work. You know what that means..............MOOOOOORE toys for me. I am sure that is the first thing on mom and dads list of things to buy. How exciting. I can't wait to eat my new toys.
So to celebrate all the exciting things that happened today we went to eat at Outback. That was really my first real restaurant with just mom and dad. We usually go eat fast food. I can't imagine why they wouldn't want to pack the whole house every time we go out to eat. You know I have to have lots of toys to keep my attention and then I need bottles, wipes, diapers, baby water, formula, a cover for my highchair, extra clothes, burp rags and anything else mom can throw in her purse to keep me happy. I still don't understand why we don't go to nice restaurants more often, do you? At any given time you can find my toys, or a bottle, or a baby spoon, etc. etc. in moms purse. If you haven't noticed her purse has gotten bigger. I guess my diaper bag won't hold everything I need. And then on Aug. 31, 2007 I turned 7 months. So needless to say I have had some very exciting things happen in the last 7 months, especially this last week. Mom will post some pictures from this past weekend tomorrow. She is very tired because I decided not to go to bed until 10:00 pm tonight.

My first day on the Move

On August 22, 2007 I decided I was going to crawl/scoot/swim. The pictures will tell it all. Mom and Dad have been putting me on my hands and knees for the past two months trying to show me how to crawl. This is just the begining of me showing them that I will do what I want, when I want. They wanted me to crawl so bad and now I can get into so many more things. Watch out here I come. On your mark, get set........................................stare at mom like she is crazy
............................................Swim
Here it goes, I am going to do it
...........................................CRAWL...........Look I'm doing it. Mom, Mom, Mom

Mom are you watching.................I'm doing it.
Well sort of.............I am going to get this down

And I'm back in the game...........I'm up again. Mom and Dad just don't know what they are in for or what I am into. I'll show them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sick for the First Time

On August 14, 2007 I got my first cold. Not really something I wanted to experience, but it happened. When mom and dad came home from work last Tuesday I was sneezing, coughing, and miserable. So mom decided to go to the store at 10pm for some medicine. Then I decided to stay up with mom all night. I could not breathe so mom held me and we were up every 30 minutes. Mom decided to suction the snot out of my nose. So, needless to say neither mom nor I got any sleep. Mom had to go to work the next day, but dad stayed home with me. Dad and I spent Wednesday, Thursday and mom joined us at home Friday. I went to the doctor and he said I had a cold. So mom and dad decided not to take me to the nursery on Sunday. I didn't want to give it to everyone else. Besides I think thats were I picked it up. So now it is Thursday Aug. 23 and I am feeling better, but my nose is still runny.

YES, I found my feet

I found my feet several weeks ago, but mom is a little slow at blogging. I can't imagine what else she has to do. Well, I went to the doctor for my 6 month check-up on Aug. 10, 2007. I was 28 3/4 in. long (97%), 18.6 lbs. (75%). Also, the doctor asked if I had any teeth. Mom and Dad laughed when he said I should only have one tooth if any. I already have three with my fourth one coming really soon. I am ready to start eating steak with dad. The sooner I get my teeth the sooner I can stop eating this mushy stuff. I can sit-up by myself for a while, then I fall over when I try to chase my toys. The doctor says I am doing great and we will be back to see him at 9 months. My next check-up is Oct. 31, 2007. Halloween I will be exactly 9 months old and I have to get more shots. I am sure mom will let me have candy after that (or dad will sneak me some). Mom has no idea the things dad has given me. We keep that a secret. It is a guy thing.

My First Football Game

Dad let me stay up late so I could watch my first football game with him. Go Cowboys!!!
Mom keeps telling me thats America's Team. Why would anyone cheer against America's Team. I am so excited to watch the Cowboys play this year. My first day home from the hospital was Superbowl Sunday. I really wasn't able to watch that game so I am ready for Superbowl Sunday this year. I can't wait to see my Cowboys WIN!!!!!
