Some pictures from Thanksgiving

Thanks mom for the bath in the sink. I had to take an extra bath that day because I was so messy eating. I kinda like the sink bath.

Thanks dad for the pumpkin pie and the apple pie. It was great. YOu haven't told mom have you?

I want more of that pie you were giving me. More, More, More, More. Dad did you hear me? I said I want more.

Ok dad do you get it. This means no more. I don't want you to put that fork close to my mouth anymore. I said NO MORE.

Thanks Jake for the piggyback ride. Dad does that with me at home. I had so much fun playing with my cousin Jake over the holiday. I can't wait until Christmas.

Thanks everyone for such a great Thanksgiving. Maybe next time I will let mom and dad sleep more. Thanks for holding me and feeding me everything off the table. I think I like turkey. And Aunt Christie, thanks for the sweet tea until mom yelled at you for giving it to me. We will sneak a little better next time. Meems and Peeps, thanks for letting me play at your house and Peeps, I hope you feel better, I love you. Trish and Bobby, thanks for visiting with us at meems and peeps. I will see everyone at Christmas (we will be there the week after). I know I am going to get lots of great gifts. I love everyone and I am so thankful for my family.

A First I Never Wanted to Happen

Brennen is going to be having surgery on Monday December 3, 2007. After many extremely long nights over the Thanksgiving Holiday we arrived back in Denton on Thursday. Brennen did not sleep much last Wednesday or Thursday night and the time he did sleep it was on my chest. So needless to say, Barrett got very little sleep and I got very, very, very little sleep. Brennen acted fine during the day, but did not want to take a nap. So we took him to a Clinic in Wichita Falls on Friday. They told us he had an ear infection and we got some medicine for him. Friday night was better, but still only about 3-4 hours of sleep (I know your thinking...that is better?). Saturday night was a little better than Friday, but Sunday night he was still waking up crying. So Monday I took him to his doctor and told him about our week. He looked at his ears and said that there was no infection at that time, but maybe the meds helped. So he checked him out and he found that Brennen has a hernia. He said that that might be what was making him uncomfortable, but he didn't know. So on Tuesday we went to see the surgeon and everything went fine. Brennen doesn't seem to be hurting right now. So Monday at 8:30am Brennen will be having surgery. The hardest part will probably be getting him to the hospital in the morning with out giving him any food. I know he is not going to be happy about that. So be praying for us and the doctor. I am sure it will be harder on Barrett and I than on Brennen. I know people say that it is no big deal, but when it comes to your baby it is the biggest deal in your life. I know Brennen will be fine and I have faith in the doctor and God. So we will bring him home on Monday afternoon and I heard he could be back to normal that night or the next morning. I just wanted to let everyone know what is going on and I will post an update when I have a chance. Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers.

So much to be Thankful For

This is my new favorite toy. I am sure mom and dad paid lots of money for this new toy.

Daddy love to tickle my ribs. This is a game we play every afternoon when he gets home from work.

Mom gives me a bath in the sink after I eat. She says I am a mess.

I am trying to see if mom is going to stop me from climbing up the stove. Has anyone ever tried this? I put both feet on the bottom and I hang on to the handle, then I pull up. Sometimes the stove door comes open. Mom and dad don't seem to like it when I do this. I am going to get it someday though. I am working on my upper body strength.

We have so much to be Thankful for. It is mom writing tonight. Brennen is in bed already, but he wants me to tell everyone that we will be in Burk for his first Thanksgiving and he is so excited to see everyone.

I am so Thankful for my wonderful husband and little boy. We have had the best 9 months of our lives with Brennen. He is such a gift from God. We are so blessed to have a healthy, very stong, playful, loving little boy. I am so blessed to have a great husband who helps with everything. Barrett has changed more diapers than I ever thought he would. He does everything from clean up throw-up to wash bottles and rock Brennen to bed. He even stayed home with Brennen last weekend so I could go shopping. I couldn't ask for a more wonderful husband. Thanks Barrett. You are a great daddy and husband.

I am thankful for the wonderful grandparents Brennen has. His Grandma Byrd comes over every morning during the week to keep him while Barrett and I go to work. His Nana and Pots kept him a few weeks ago and he can't stop talking about the great time he had at the park with them and Jake.

I am thankful for all our friends and family that have been so helpful and generous. Thanks to everyone. We can't wait to have some time to relax and be with family this holiday season.

We are the most thankful for Jesus Christ who died on the cross to save us from our sins. Don't forget the reason for this season. Thank you Jesus for everything you have given us, for the blessings we receive everyday, for our family and friends and most of all for our salvation. Amen.

Sick Superman

I missed out on my first Halloween. I was Superman, but I have been sick for the past two weeks so mom and dad wouldn't take me out to trick-or-treat. I was sad, but my Grandma bought me some candy (that mom wouldn't let me eat) and a Cowboys hat and outfit. So I didn't miss out completely. I loved my Superman costume. Maybe next year I will get to go to the church for fall festival and see all my friends. Sorry we didn't make it. I sure wish I would have been there, but I didn't want to get anyone sick. I am feeling better now, but I still have a cough. I hope everyone else had a Happy Halloween.

And one other thing.......GO COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!
