Almost One

Finally Mom and Dad turned my seat around. 5 days before my birthday and 26 pounds later mom gave in and let me finally see the world and not just the leather seats. I love being able to see when we are driving. That leather seat was getting old and now mom can hand me my food instead of shoving it in from behind my head.

We got to go to the park on Sunday. The weather was so nice. I went down the slide with dad.

I played with mom on some of the other toys but....

my favorite thing to do was play in the dirt and wood chips. I can't imagine that God would have put this dirt and these wood chips out here for any other reason than for me to eat them.

No I did not go down the slide head first, but i crawled on the slide to get a better view of what I was fixing to put in my mouth. Yes....I got a wood chip in my mouth before mom could stop me, but she did this mom pinch on my jaws and got the wood chip out before I could swallow it. I thought maybe I could grow a tree in my stomach, but mom wouldn't let me. I thought about the famous phrase from my cousin, "Isn't the park where a kid can be a kid." I know it was something like that. Needless to say there will be no trees growing in my stomach, but I know I got a little bit of dirt down before she could get that out. Maybe next time mom.

Christmas Again

So for New Years we went to Burk to have Christmas with mom's side of the family. I told mom I thought I needed more toys and boy did I get more toys. I got a red wagon and a Texas rocking chair. You can see in the pictures below we had a lot of fun. Thanks for all the great gifts and the fun time we had. I know this is going to be the best year yet. I love you.

Christmas

We spent Christmas this year with dad's side of the family. Grandpa stayed with us for several days and Grandma, Bridget, and Brnadon came over for Christmas lunch and presents. I got so many presents mom says we don't have enough room for them all. The living room has some furniture, but mainly it is covered with all my toys. I just wanted to say tahnks to everyone for all the great gifts and fun we had. I love you.

More Pictures

Christmas is almost here

Here are a few of the Christmas pictures we had made for the Christmas cards. It was a trying day to say the least. If you have kids, you know what I am talking about. If you don't, then let me give you a little clue. Don't expect them to wait 30 minutes for pictures, then have the pictures taken, then wait another 30 mintes to view the pictures and finally give you time to pick out the ones you want.
Next time I will only get the pictures taken and then get a babysitter before I try to pick out what I want. I hope I get some good ones because I picked them out in less than 10 minutes. This was completely my fault for expecting so much out of a 10 month old and a 33 year old. They were both grumpy and ready for a nap when we were done. I really didn't expect for everything to take as long as it did. Just as we were sitting down to pick out the pictures I noticed Brennen needed to be changed. I told Barrett to just hold him and I would hurry and then we could change him in the car. So 2 minutes later Barrett comes up to me and shows me his wet shirt. Yes...Brennen peed through his diaper and all over Barrett. So Barrett took him to the car and changed him and waited for me. Fianlly it was all over and we headed home. As soon as I got a bottle in Brennen's mouth he fell asleep. Bad mom I know. Way too much action for a baby. Just learn this lesson form me.....if your baby needs to be changed it would probably take less time to change him than deal with the aftermath. I will post more pictures later.

He was a Champ

Brennen did great during his surgery. He was home by Monday afternoon and slept until about 1:30pm. He took pain meds for the first day and then was only on Tylenol the next day. He seems to be getting back to normal. He is playing and getting into everything again. Nothing seems to be bothering him. He finally gets to take a bath in the morning. He loves his bath time, so I think that was the worst part for him. Here are a few pictures from the hospital.

This was before the surgery. He was very good the whole time.

This was also before the surgery. His Daddy was tickling him and wrapping him up in a blanket.

This was after the surgery. He was pretty much out of it until about 1:30pm that day.

This was also after the surgery. He was given some pretty strong meds after the surgery so he wouldn't hurt until we could get to the pharmacy to fill his pain meds.

Some pictures from Thanksgiving

Thanks mom for the bath in the sink. I had to take an extra bath that day because I was so messy eating. I kinda like the sink bath.

Thanks dad for the pumpkin pie and the apple pie. It was great. YOu haven't told mom have you?

I want more of that pie you were giving me. More, More, More, More. Dad did you hear me? I said I want more.

Ok dad do you get it. This means no more. I don't want you to put that fork close to my mouth anymore. I said NO MORE.

Thanks Jake for the piggyback ride. Dad does that with me at home. I had so much fun playing with my cousin Jake over the holiday. I can't wait until Christmas.

Thanks everyone for such a great Thanksgiving. Maybe next time I will let mom and dad sleep more. Thanks for holding me and feeding me everything off the table. I think I like turkey. And Aunt Christie, thanks for the sweet tea until mom yelled at you for giving it to me. We will sneak a little better next time. Meems and Peeps, thanks for letting me play at your house and Peeps, I hope you feel better, I love you. Trish and Bobby, thanks for visiting with us at meems and peeps. I will see everyone at Christmas (we will be there the week after). I know I am going to get lots of great gifts. I love everyone and I am so thankful for my family.
